About Legal Directory HQ
A curated, plain-spoken guide to attorneys, legal aid, and trusted legal resources.
Legal Directory HQ was built on a simple idea: most people facing a legal problem don't need a sales pitch — they need a clear, trustworthy starting point. The legal system is vast and specialized, and the difference between a good outcome and a costly mistake often comes down to finding the right kind of help quickly. We organize attorneys, legal aid organizations, government agencies, and respected legal information platforms into one structured directory so you can orient yourself before spending money or making irreversible decisions.
What we do
We curate and organize legal resources by practice area, including family law, criminal defense, personal injury, immigration, business and corporate law, estate planning, employment, bankruptcy, and real estate. A dedicated Legal Aid / Free Help section gathers the organizations that serve people who cannot afford a private attorney. Each listing includes a substantial description so you understand what the resource actually does before you click through.
What we don't do
How we choose listings
Our seed listings are deliberately limited to established, independently verifiable organizations — government agencies such as USCIS and the EEOC, bar-backed services such as ABA Free Legal Answers, and nationally recognized legal nonprofits and platforms such as Legal Services Corporation, LawHelp.org, Justia, and Nolo. We do not invent law firm names, attorney profiles, addresses, or phone numbers. As the directory grows, organizations can request inclusion through our Submit a Listing page, and we review each submission for legitimacy and relevance before adding it.
Our editorial principles
- Authoritative sources first. We prioritize official government and nonprofit resources, which are accurate, current, and free of sales pressure.
- Accessibility. We surface free and low-cost help prominently because many people qualify for assistance they never knew existed.
- Honesty about limits. We are clear about what a directory can and cannot do, and we always direct you to verify credentials independently.
Legal Directory HQ is part of the Sagentica directory network. If you represent a legal aid program, a bar association service, or another reputable legal resource and would like to be considered for inclusion, we'd be glad to hear from you.
